AI in my design work
There are 3 primary ways ai has fundamentally changed my design process. 1) Getting from ambiguity to clarity faster. I've been using Claude to pressure-test assumptions, learn and synthesize information, understand edge-cases, define success metrics and reduce the time it used to take me to define a problem space. 2) I vibe-code layout options and ideas. I use it to generate multiple concept directions, it helps me generate broad explorations. I've had success in generating prototypes that my stakeholders can explore on their own, and toggle future features on and off, so they can understand multiple states of a concept. 3) Leveraging data MCPs. I've had success in writing SQL queries to quickly validate assumptions with data. This has helped me inform design decision with confidence much quicker than I previously was able to.
